In Japanese, Komen mean rice, Nuka means bran, Bi means beautiful, and Jin means person.  The major ingredient of Komenuka Bijin is rice bran.  Rice bran has been used as cleansers in Japan and China for thousands of years.  Moreover, rice bran contains a high dense form of oryzanol (a derivative of vitamin B) which can help soften the skin and promote the regeneration of healthy skin.  Professor Kamula of the Dermatology Department of Japan Medical School reported in Diagnosis and Medication:   "Rice bran can treat skin disorders such as chronic itch, allergy, dandruff, and other skin problems."
