Phytosolaire prepares skin for sun exposure in order to facilitate tanning. The dietary supplements produce a deeper, longer lasting tan while preserving the skin’s youthful appearance. When exposed to UV rays, melanocytes (pigment producing cells) start producing melanin. The melanin then distribute themselves among the dentritic (canals between skin cells) to surround the cell’s nucleus, in order to absorb harmful UV rays. This protects the DNA, located in the nucleus. In order for the body to activate the melanocytes, it must be exposed to UV rays. This process takes anywhere from one to three days; that is why most people do not tan in one day. It is during this initial exposure that most sunburn occurs. Due to the effect of UV rays on the skin, cells become damaged and dehydrated, hence they need to renew themselves.
